This full-time Information Technology position combines software development with IT support in a Navy customer environment. The employee will support two customers: providing IT support for one and web server development for the other. The role offers opportunities to develop PHP and Python skills, refactor legacy code, and support more than 1,200 civilian and contractor users across Tier 1–3 IT services. The IT support work includes troubleshooting hardware and software issues submitted by phone, functional mailbox, leadership, or in person. The employee will also create standard operating procedures and user guides, document Navy IT processes, and maintain professional documentation for software development work. They must also have or be able to achieve CompTIA Security+ certification before the start date, manage multiple projects and tasks, and communicate and write effectively. The position is listed as regular employment with no travel required. The proposed salary range is $61,100–$122,200.
