Sr System Analyst - ETS BSD Customer Engagement DCX
About The Position
The Senior Systems Analyst / Software Developer leads system development initiatives and vendor implementation efforts from project initiation through post-implementation support. The role partners with internal IT teams, cross-functional business stakeholders, and external vendors to deliver technology solutions aligned with business objectives, overseeing planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery throughout the project lifecycle. The position designs, develops, tests, deploys, and supports software applications, services, APIs, and system integrations. It supports delivery throughout the Software Development Life Cycle, alongside day-to-day application support, IT administrative activities, troubleshooting, problem resolution, and maintaining the stability and performance of supported systems. The role uses Agile methodologies and Azure DevOps and includes incident triage, root cause analysis, and AI-assisted development tools used in compliance with company standards. The selected candidate will receive a System Emergency Assignment and may need to work outside business hours during emergencies, including nights, weekends, and holidays. This position does not provide employment pursuant to the terms of a STEM OPT Training Plan.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years of relevant experience.
- At least three years of relevant work experience.
- Experience with at least two of the following: C#/.NET Core/.NET 8+, Java, SQL Server or other relational databases, RESTful APIs and web services, React/Angular/modern JavaScript frameworks, Azure cloud services, GitHub Enterprise and DevOps practices, Python, or business analysis and requirements management.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, or ChatGPT for software design, coding, testing, debugging, documentation, or code review, while following cybersecurity requirements, secure coding standards, and software development best practices.
- Ability to learn new technology as required using documentation and other available resources.
- Excellent work ethic.
- Experience with web services, APIs, databases, and cloud-based solutions.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and DevOps practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Effective interpersonal and conflict management skills.
- Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities
- Participate in project workstreams and technical initiatives, identifying opportunities to deliver business value and support strategic objectives.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications, services, APIs, and system integrations.
- Support solution delivery throughout the Software Development Life Cycle, from requirements gathering through implementation and post-production support.
- Deliver business value through iterative releases, continuous improvement, and frequent stakeholder and customer feedback.
- Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, architects, vendors, and cross-functional teams to define and refine business and technical requirements.
- Support application deployments, production releases, and ongoing operational activities.
- Produce and maintain technical deliverables, including system and subsystem designs, end-to-end process flows, use cases, data models, interface specifications, APIs, and SDLC documentation.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to development standards, design patterns, and engineering best practices.
- Strengthen business relationships and maintain effective stakeholder communications; lead or contribute to team discussions and proactively raise issues.
- Develop clean, scalable, secure, and maintainable code in accordance with industry standards, secure coding practices, and company cybersecurity requirements.
- Monitor application health and optimize system performance, scalability, and stability.
- Provide project status updates, identify risks and dependencies, and escalate critical issues as needed.
- Use Agile delivery methodologies and Azure DevOps for backlog management, sprint planning, work tracking, release management, and CI/CD activities.
- Perform incident triage, root cause analysis, and problem management, and implement preventive actions to improve reliability and operational excellence.
- Use AI-assisted software development tools to accelerate development, improve code quality, support troubleshooting, and enhance productivity while following cybersecurity, data privacy, and software development standards.
- Provide day-to-day application support, perform IT administrative activities, troubleshoot problems, and help maintain supported systems.
- Work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
