As a Security Officer Bicycle Patrol Driver in Cary, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Security Officer supporting a public education location, you will conduct routine vehicle, bike, and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be able to ride a bike.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, providing directions and assisting with access control processes as assigned.
  • Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to site leadership, Allied Universal supervision, and emergency responders as appropriate.
