About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer for an assigned supermarket retail location in New York, NY. The position provides consistent weekly anchor shifts, with a six-month commitment to the assigned site and schedule. Officers may claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform, with the opportunity to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week. The pay rate is $19.48 per hour. The listed schedule is Friday and Saturday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state or local laws and regulations; a license may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to store team members, shoppers, and visitors by following site-specific procedures and policies and, when appropriate, participating in emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and effectively to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail sales areas, entrances, exits, receiving areas, parking areas, and the perimeter.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, unauthorized access, hazardous conditions, and potential loss-prevention concerns, and report observations according to site procedures.
• Accurately and promptly document incidents, patrols, and security-related activities while maintaining a professional presence.
