About The Position

As a full-time Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government redevelopment location in Duluth, Georgia, you will help safeguard the site and provide courteous customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and members of the public. You will conduct routine and random patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points and visitor activity, and report security-related concerns. You will follow site-specific procedures and support emergency response activities as appropriate. The role is scheduled Tuesday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, and pays $17.50 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, service requests, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel or emergency services when needed.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, public areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and visitor activity according to established procedures, remain aware of restricted areas, and support orderly entry and exit.
Prepare accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for incidents, patrols, observations, and security-related concerns.
