As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and provide welcoming customer service to employees and visitors. You will support a professional, orderly environment, communicate clearly, and help address security-related concerns. This is a driving position requiring a valid driver’s license. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, processing visitors and contractors, maintaining entry records, and directing authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
  • Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific escalation and reporting procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, production-adjacent areas, shipping and receiving locations, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify irregularities and help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Document daily activities, visitor entries, incidents, and access-control concerns accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
