About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol driver in Mount Vernon, Indiana, serving clients at a chemical and petrochemical manufacturing location. The officer conducts routine patrols, maintains a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, supports access control and site procedures, and provides customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors. The driving position requires a valid driver’s license. The role is scheduled Monday through Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., at a rate of $17.64 per hour.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production-adjacent areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access control points, verify credentials as directed, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and report access-related concerns according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, and promptly communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
Document patrols, incidents, and observations in required reports.
Support compliance with site emergency, hazardous-area, and personal protective equipment requirements.
