About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer for a retail location in Jacksonville, Florida. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, assist customers, employees, and visitors, support access control, respond to alarms and incidents, and use technology to document activity. The position serves clients in retail and mall settings and is guided by teamwork, integrity, and a customer-focused approach.

The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM. The pay rate is $16.50 per hour. Applicants must have at least six months of security-related experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. The role requires applicants for unarmed positions to be at least 18 years old. Employment is conditional on a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. State or local licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel by following security procedures and site-specific policies and, when appropriate, carrying out emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail areas, common spaces, entrances, exits, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting unusual conditions and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate reports and communicate with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts about incidents and daily activities.
• Support access control, respond to alarms, and use technology to document activity.
