About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Patrol Unarmed Officer for a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Olive Branch, Mississippi. The officer will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. The role also involves providing customer service and clear communication, using technology to document observations, and assisting visitors and employees.

The position is scheduled Monday and Tuesday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and Wednesday and Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The pay rate is $16.50 per hour. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of technology facilities, office areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter; identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access control points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, maintain required logs, and report access concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document activities in clear, accurate reports.
• Use technology to document observations and assist visitors and employees.
