About The Position

As a full-time unarmed patrol security guard at a logistics and distribution location in Parsippany, New Jersey, you will help safeguard the client, employees, visitors, and property. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide customer service and clear communication. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, and pays $18.63 per hour.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and applicable emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of distribution facilities, loading areas, parking lots, access points, and the surrounding perimeter.
Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as required, and direct visitors, delivery personnel, and contractors according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, notify appropriate personnel, and document observations.
Observe and report unusual activity, facility hazards, and security-related concerns while maintaining detailed and accurate activity reports.
