About The Position

As a Security Guard at an educational location in Chicago, Illinois, you will help safeguard clients and support a welcoming campus environment. This full-time, unarmed driving patrol position requires a valid driver's license. You will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence, provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors, and respond professionally to security-related needs. The scheduled hours are Tuesday through Thursday, 3:00 PM to 1:00 AM. The pay rate is $20.00 per hour.

Requirements

A valid driver's license is required for driving positions and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
State or local licensing requirements may apply and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners by following site-specific procedures and policies and carrying out emergency response activities as appropriate.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, notifying appropriate campus resources or emergency responders.
Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, parking facilities, walkways, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points and observe campus activity, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.
Prepare accurate incident reports and maintain clear communication with supervisors, campus personnel, and Allied Universal team members.
