About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed patrol driver to serve and safeguard clients in a healthcare setting in Syracuse, New York. The role involves conducting building and grounds patrols, maintaining a visible presence, supporting a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff, providing customer service, and responding to security-related concerns. The schedule is Wednesday and Friday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The pay rate is $23.44 per hour.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located; a valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.
- Valid New York State Security Guard License.
- At least 6 months of security-related experience.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and other guests by following site-specific procedures, healthcare facility policies, and applicable emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical facility emergencies, and critical situations, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Assist with access control by monitoring entry points, checking credentials as required, and directing patients and visitors to appropriate areas.
- Accurately and promptly document observations, incidents, and security-related activities in accordance with company and site procedures.
