About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced in Topton, Pennsylvania. The position provides a consistent assigned site and weekly shift, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. The designated shift requires a six-month commitment. Employees may work part-time hours or pick up shifts toward a schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. Pay is $17.00 per hour.

The role provides security and customer service at a manufacturing and industrial location. Duties include controlling site access, maintaining logs, communicating security concerns, responding to incidents, and conducting patrols. Applicants must have at least one year of verifiable security-related experience, a valid state driver’s license, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred, as is customer service experience. Applicants must be at least 18 for unarmed roles or 21 for armed roles and are subject to applicable background and drug screening requirements.

Requirements

• At least one year of relevant, documented and verifiable security experience.
• A valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located; a copy will be required during hiring.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to the manufacturing and industrial location by verifying identification, authorizations, visitor registrations, and contractor credentials.
• Maintain accurate access-control logs and report access issues, suspicious activity, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following established emergency and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, production-area access routes, parking areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized access and identify security concerns.
