About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for credential verification at an assigned logistics and distribution site in Schertz, Texas. The role provides a fixed weekly schedule of designated anchor shifts, requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. Additional shifts may allow hours to vary, up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The pay rate is $15.24 per hour.

The Security Officer provides customer service to drivers, visitors, and personnel; verifies credentials and visitor authorization; monitors access points and records; and conducts patrols. The officer also responds to incidents and communicates relevant details through established channels.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 years old or older for armed roles.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation, as a condition of employment and in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen, as a condition of employment and to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

• A Guard Card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and personnel by following site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency-response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points at a logistics and distribution location, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Control access for delivery vehicles, contractors, and employees in accordance with site requirements, and report irregularities to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, using problem-solving skills and established reporting channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
