About The Position

As a Security Officer Credential Verification in Burnsville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a residential community. You will support access control by monitoring entry points, verifying authorized access, and providing customer service to residents and visitors. The role involves maintaining a visible presence, communicating clearly, responding to security-related concerns, and helping deter incidents.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state and/or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license if the position involves driving.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and visitors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, and maintain visitor, contractor, and delivery records in accordance with property procedures.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, document observations, and notify appropriate personnel as directed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, parking areas, entrances, and the property perimeter to identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
Communicate professionally with residents and property staff, reporting maintenance concerns, access issues, and security-related incidents according to site procedures.
