About The Position

As a Security Officer Credential Verification in Eden, North Carolina, you will serve and safeguard clients at a retail location. You will monitor entry points, verify authorized access, and help maintain a welcoming environment for shoppers, employees, and visitors. The role uses computer or tablet systems to document activity, communicate professionally, and support security-related operations. This is a part-time position with a schedule that may include shifts claimed through the company’s Claim a Shift platform. Pay is $13.50 per hour.

Requirements

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to retail location employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while following site-specific security procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control facility access by verifying credentials, authorizing entry according to site procedures, and maintaining visitor and contractor logs.
• Respond calmly to access-control concerns, incidents, and critical situations, escalating matters to appropriate site contacts or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entry points, loading areas, and the surrounding perimeter; identify unusual activity and report security-related concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of access activity, incidents, and shift observations, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site management.
