About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Patrol Inspection in Oviedo, Florida. The role provides consistent hours at an assigned government site, with a designated weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment. Officers may claim additional shifts through a scheduling platform, allowing them to increase their hours and gain experience at multiple sites. The position offers a path to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. Pay is $18.75 per hour.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; it is required for driving positions.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• State or local licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by following site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency-response activities at a government location.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations, following established reporting and notification protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, public areas, parking facilities, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas; verify credentials as directed; and maintain accurate visitor, incident, and patrol logs.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, law enforcement, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership about incidents and security-related observations.
