About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time enhanced Security Officer for an assigned retail location in Amarillo, Texas. The position provides a fixed weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. Hours can vary by week, with the opportunity to build up to a full-time schedule of as many as 40 hours per week and scale back when needed. The listed anchor shift is Wednesday, 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m. Pay is $15.00 per hour, paid weekly.

The officer provides customer service and carries out security procedures and site policies. Duties include unarmed patrols, monitoring for suspicious activity and hazards, responding to incidents, supporting access control, and documenting incidents. Applicants must meet the stated age, education, driver’s license, and screening requirements. Licensing may also be required under applicable state or local rules.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; it is required for driving positions.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 or older for armed roles.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, visitors, and associates while carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, parking areas, receiving areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, policy violations, and potential hazards, and report observations according to site procedures.
• Assist with access control, visitor and vendor interactions, and incident documentation while helping maintain an orderly retail environment.
