About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Inspection in San Jose, California. The role provides consistent hours at an assigned site on a designated weekly shift, with a six-month commitment to that assignment. Officers may claim additional shifts through a scheduling platform and may work up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The position supports a welcoming hospitality environment while helping protect guests, visitors, staff, and property.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by following security-related procedures and location-specific policies and performing emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations, using problem-solving skills.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hotel public areas, guest-floor corridors, parking areas, entrances, and the property perimeter.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting unusual conditions and potential security concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Help deter unauthorized access, disturbances, and policy violations while supporting a welcoming hospitality environment.
