About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer for an aerospace and defense location in Archbald, Pennsylvania. The role provides a fixed weekly shift at an assigned site, with a six-month commitment to that schedule. Officers may also claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, including shifts at other sites, and may increase their hours up to 40 per week or scale back as needed. The position pays $17.51 per hour. The listed schedule is Friday, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas; identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and remain aware of visitor and contractor activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and public responders as directed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs for patrol activity, incidents, access-related matters, and other security observations.
