About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer for a driver patrol and inspection role at a chemical and petrochemical location in Burkville, Alabama. The position provides a designated weekly anchor shift at an assigned site, requiring a six-month commitment. The scheduled shift is Sunday from 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Employees may claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week and the flexibility to scale back. The pay rate is $15.65 per hour.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required before employment, depending on state and/or local laws and regulations.
• The assigned anchor shift requires a six-month commitment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and solve problems involving incidents, alarms, hazardous-material concerns, and critical situations; follow site protocols and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, production areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor site access by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and reporting access-control concerns to site leadership.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with company and site procedures.
