About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer Enhanced for an assigned site in Riverview, Florida. The role provides a designated weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. Additional shifts may allow the employee to work up to 40 hours per week, with the flexibility to scale back. The listed pay rate is $17.75 per hour. The scheduled shift is Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. The officer provides security and customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors at a healthcare facility. Duties include responding to incidents and alarms, conducting unarmed patrols, monitoring access points, and documenting observations and activities in accordance with facility protocols.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable law.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Possession of a Guard Card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following healthcare facility protocols.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter.
Monitor access points and visitor, vendor, and delivery activity according to site procedures, and report unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
Accurately document incidents, observations, and patrol activity, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders.
