About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol Driver in Washington, DC, assigned to a government water and wastewater utility location. The position provides a designated weekly shift at an assigned site, requiring a six-month commitment. Employees may claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform and can build up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The pay rate is $29.44 per hour. The listed schedule is Sunday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM.

Requirements

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• An armed guard card or license.
• A valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participation in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to applicable state and local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while following site-specific procedures and security policies.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized entry attempts or suspicious activity.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, emergencies, and critical situations, coordinating with site contacts and public emergency responders as appropriate.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and patrol documentation, and communicate professionally with Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.
