About The Position

As a Security Guard Armed Patrol Driver at an educational location in West Palm Beach, Florida, you will help safeguard students, faculty, staff, visitors, and the client’s property. The role involves armed vehicle and foot patrols across academic buildings, parking areas, walkways, entrances, and the surrounding perimeter. You will maintain a visible security presence, support a welcoming environment, provide professional customer service, respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, and collaborate with the Allied Universal team. This is a full-time position paying $23.75 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM.

Requirements

• Certified Protection Officer certification.
• Valid armed guard card or license.
• Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; required for driving positions.
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established campus protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed vehicle and foot patrols of academic buildings, parking areas, walkways, entrances, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, hazardous conditions, and maintenance concerns through established channels.
• Maintain incident reports, daily activity logs, and patrol observations in compliance with armed post requirements and Allied Universal policies.
