About The Position

As a Security Guard Armed Patrol in Las Vegas, Nevada, you will safeguard clients in retail, mall, government, and other settings. You will monitor and patrol assigned locations, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to incidents, communicate professionally with visitors and staff, and provide customer service. This is a part-time position scheduled Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., paying $21.86 per hour.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Armed Guard Card/License.
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply before employment, depending on state and local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A Guard Card/License is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, employees, and government personnel while following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of retail mall areas, government facilities, parking areas, and perimeter locations; identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in accordance with post orders and escalation protocols.
• Maintain authorized firearms and other assigned equipment according to applicable laws, licensing requirements, site policies, and company procedures.
• Accurately document patrol observations, incidents, and interactions, and communicate relevant information to supervisors, emergency responders, and site representatives.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
