About The Position

As a Security Guard Armed Patrol in Manassas, Virginia, you will safeguard clients at a residential location by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, monitoring access points, and providing professional customer service to residents and visitors. You will communicate clearly, respond to security-related concerns, and help maintain a welcoming environment. The position is part-time and pays $20.90 per hour. Scheduled shifts are Friday and Saturday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM.

Requirements

Possess an armed guard card or license.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by following security procedures and site-specific policies and, when appropriate, taking part in emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally, using problem-solving skills.
Conduct regular and random patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify unusual activity and deter unauthorized access.
Monitor access points and visitor activity according to site-specific procedures, documenting observations and incidents as required.
Communicate with residents, staff, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership about incidents, concerns, and shift activities.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
