About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed patrol driver to serve and safeguard clients at a retail and mall location in Falls Church, Virginia. The role involves driving and foot patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, responding to security-related concerns, and providing customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff. The position is scheduled for Monday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, and Thursday and Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The pay rate is $17.50 per hour.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and local laws and may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and staff by following security procedures and location-specific policies, and carrying out emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols in retail common areas, parking areas, loading zones, and the surrounding perimeter; identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events, following established location procedures.
Monitor access points, assist with access control, and support the orderly flow of visitors, deliveries, and contractors.
Prepare accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation, and communicate observations to site leadership and appropriate personnel.
