About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed patrol driver in Burlingame, California. The role serves and safeguards clients by conducting routine vehicle and foot patrols at assigned locations, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents, and responding to security-related concerns. The driving post requires a valid driver’s license. The officer provides customer service, communicates clearly with visitors and team members, and upholds Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity. Work environments and conditions may vary by client site.

The position pays $23.00 per hour and is scheduled Tuesday through Thursday, 1:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Allied Universal offers access to technology for viewing and claiming additional shifts, paid training and career growth opportunities, a retirement savings plan, and discounts through its Perks Program. Applicants are subject to background investigation and drug screening as permitted by law. State or local licensing may be required prior to employment.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation, subject to applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random vehicle and foot patrols around the business and its perimeter.
• Maintain a visible security presence to help deter incidents.
• Respond to security-related concerns.
• Communicate clearly with visitors and team members.
