About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed driver patrol Security Guard in Leesburg, Virginia. The position provides a fixed weekly schedule at an assigned site, with a six-month commitment to the designated shifts. The scheduled shifts are Wednesday and Thursday from 2:00 AM to 6:00 AM. Employees may claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform and can build up to a full-time schedule of as many as 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The pay rate is $22.70 per hour. The role provides security and customer service in a residential setting. It involves unarmed patrols, monitoring access and visitor activity, documenting observations and incidents, and responding to situations according to site procedures. The site has limited on-site facilities, including portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Subject to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Must meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, visitors, contractors, and guests while following site security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential common areas, parking areas, building exteriors, and perimeter areas to identify unusual activity and potential concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity according to community policies, and document observations, incidents, and maintenance-related concerns.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services as directed by site procedures.
Maintain a professional presence to deter unauthorized activity and support a welcoming residential environment.
