About The Position

We are looking for skilled Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) with a minimum of 12 months experience to join our team. You will be sent to our infection prevention and control service sites in Toronto.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program
  • Current registration with the provincial licensing body in good standing
  • Evidence of current CPR/BLS certification
  • Minimum 1 year experience working as an RPN/RN
  • A valid RELIABILITY STATUS security clearance (request form and fingerprint form will be provided by Bayshore and full reimbursement)
  • Previous experience in the hospital sector or long-term support setting

Responsibilities

  • Provide traveler support by utilizing the skills of observation, assessment, communication, collaboration, supportive counseling and health teaching
  • Observe and document any traveler conditions and changes in accordance with professional standards
  • Collaborate with all members of support team to create and modify support plans as per assessment results and traveler support needs
  • Provide support according to the established support plan and ensure that the emotional, spiritual, physical comfort, and safety of travelers are met to the greatest possible extent; support must be within the scope of practice of a RPN/RN.
  • Perform routine nursing duties in accordance with company policies and procedures and Standards of Nursing Practice as defined by the provincial licensing body
  • Adhere to Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) practices as required in traveler support areas.
  • Perform specialized nursing procedures for which recognized training and current competency can be demonstrated.
  • Participate in mandatory and voluntary internal and/or external continuing education activities.
  • Adhere to Bayshore Policies and Procedures.
  • Participate in quality activities and continuous improvement initiatives in keeping with the Bayshore Northern Staffing team division’s Quality Management System.
  • Participate in proactive Health & Safety activities while performing all duties. Is responsible to notify immediate Supervisor of any Health & Safety risks or concerns.
  • Maintain confidentiality of traveler and corporate information and discusses same only with appropriate Bayshore personnel.
  • Complete other tasks as requested
