About The Position
The Interventional Radiology RN provides comprehensive care for patients undergoing diagnostic and minimally invasive procedures in the Interventional Radiology and CT departments. The role involves caring for patients before, during, and after procedures and collaborating with Radiologists, Radiologic Technologists, and a multidisciplinary team to support safe, high-quality, patient-centered care. It offers opportunities to use critical thinking, procedural skills, technology, and autonomy while building clinical expertise and relationships with patients.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana or a compact state.
Nice To Haves
- ACLS certification, or willingness to obtain it after hire.
- IV therapy experience.
Responsibilities
- Assess and prepare patients for procedures.
- Provide education to patients and families.
- Administer medications and procedural sedation.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures.
- Serve as the circulating nurse during procedures.
- Manage patient admissions and recoveries within the Radiology Holding Area.
- Collaborate with Radiologists, Technologists, and care teams to support exceptional outcomes.
- Conduct post-procedure follow-up care.
- Assist with inventory and management of procedural supplies.
- Support quality, safety, and patient-centered care initiatives.
