About The Position

Indiana University Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Medical Observation Unit at Ball Memorial in Muncie, Indiana. This newly renovated 25-private-room unit cares for observation- and medical-level patients during brief stays, with a focus on cardiac patients before and after procedures. Nurses provide patient-centered care while developing clinical expertise, critical thinking, time management, and patient and family advocacy skills. The team emphasizes collaboration, compassion, excellence, purpose, servant leadership, and ongoing professional development. The position is available for part-time or full-time work on nights or days. Upcoming and recent nursing graduates are directed to apply through IU Health’s nurse graduate pipeline requisition.

Requirements

• Associate of Nursing (ASN) required; a Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
• Graduation from a nationally accredited nursing program is required. Candidates who did not graduate from a nationally accredited program may be considered with more than two years of acute care experience, subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer.
• Current Indiana Registered Nurse license required.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association required.
• Other Advanced Life Support certifications may be required based on unit or department specialty and patient care policies.
