About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must qualify for the position under at least one of the listed CSS qualification options: qualified addiction professional; bachelor’s degree in a human services field from an accredited college or university listed in the U.S. Department of Education’s database; any four-year degree or a combination of higher education and qualifying experience; four years of qualifying experience; or an Associate of Applied Science in Behavioral Health Support designated by the Department of Mental Health.
• Qualifying experience must include delivering services to individuals with mental illness, substance use disorders, or developmental disabilities.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must meet agency-established minimum automobile coverage requirements.
• Able to work one-on-one with clients in homes, communities, and clinical settings.
• Strong communication, follow-through, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to collaborate with a team and coordinate care.
• Comfortable navigating community resources and advocating on behalf of clients.
• Able to adapt services to each person’s needs and goals.

Nice To Haves

• Associate, bachelor’s, or master’s degree in a human service-related field.
• Prior experience in the human services field; candidates new to the field are also welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized and group support focused on recovery, wellness, and daily living skills.
• Provide services using a strengths-based, person-centered approach that integrates all dimensions of wellness.
• Assist clients in accessing resources such as housing, medical care, education, and recovery supports.
• Support clients in developing and maintaining personal and community-based support systems.
• Collaborate with clinicians, peer specialists, healthcare providers, and other care team members.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation and complete required reporting.
• Conduct outreach and re-engagement efforts when needed.
• Collect and process urine drug screens.
• Provide client transportation as clinically indicated.
• Travel and drive as an essential function of the position.
