About The Position

Albemarle County Public Schools (ACPS) is seeking an Elementary Teacher (Reading Specialist) for Greer Elementary School for the 2026-27 School Year. This is a part-time position with 4.35 hours per day. ACPS is committed to providing students with engaging, challenging, and relevant learning experiences to foster them into lifelong contributors and leaders in a dynamic and diverse society. The division works collaboratively to eliminate the predictive value of race, class, gender, and special capacities on student success through high-quality teaching and learning for all. ACPS is dedicated to building school communities that recognize and end racism, eliminate inequitable practices, and support every child's unique talents and interests, guided by an Anti-Racism policy. The ideal candidate will be innovative, self-reflective, collaborative, knowledgeable, and passionate about closing equity and achievement gaps, and prepared to engage with the Culturally Responsive Teaching model.

Requirements

  • Must hold or be eligible for a Virginia teaching certificate with endorsement as a Reading Specialist.
