About The Position

Ridgeview is seeking a Title Reading Teacher Assistant. The role supports students’ reading and writing development and requires working with children in a caring, nurturing manner. The assistant must be able to adapt to varying student needs and schedule changes, communicate effectively with staff and students, and monitor and manage student behavior.

Requirements

• Must meet district Teacher Assistant (TA) requirements.
• Must be highly qualified through an associate degree, at least 60 college credits, a passing score of 460 on the ETS Parapro Assessment, or SAT scores of 480 in reading and writing and 530 in math.
• Experience teaching reading and writing skills.
• Consistent and punctual attendance.
• Flexibility with varying student needs and schedule changes.
• Effective oral and written communication skills with a variety of staff and students.
• Initiative, positive teamwork, and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• Ability to monitor and manage student behavior.
