About The Position

Requirements

• At least 5 years of overall sterile processing experience in an acute care setting, including decontamination, tray assembly, sterilization, case cart assembly, and storage of surgical instruments and supplies.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Manager, Lead, or Supervisor in Sterile Processing.
• High school diploma or GED.
• CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) or CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician) credential.
• CHL (Certified Healthcare Leadership) certification, required or to be obtained within 12 months of hire.
• CIS (Certified Instrument Specialist) certification, required or to be obtained within 12 months of hire.

• Associate's or bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and evaluate orientation for Sterile Processing personnel.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate competency development for Sterile Processing personnel.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate the Quality Assurance Program.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate professional development for Sterile Processing personnel.
• Develop and maintain Sterile Processing Department policies and procedures in coordination with the System Director of Sterile Processing.
• Oversee education and quality monitoring for the Sterile Processing Departments at BMH, LMC, Paoli, and Riddle Hospitals.
• Mentor future leaders and collaborate with team members through hospital and system-wide committees.
