About The Position

The Quality Coordinator RN focuses on improving the patient experience, reducing hospital readmissions, and identifying process improvement opportunities. The role involves monthly data abstraction for assigned accreditation programs, submitting data to national databases, managing the hospital’s readmission platform, and rounding on high-risk readmission patients before discharge.

This is a full-time, day-shift role based in Harker Heights, Texas, at Seton Medical Center Harker Heights, an 83-bed acute care hospital.

Requirements

• Education required to obtain Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
• RN license in the state of Texas.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• At least 3 years of clinical nursing experience.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and trauma data abstraction tools.
• Previous experience in quality improvement projects in a hospital or healthcare setting.
