About The Position

The Sterile Processing Educator/Quality Coordinator plans, implements, and evaluates orientation, competency development, the Quality Assurance Program, and professional development for Sterile Processing personnel. The role develops and maintains Sterile Processing Department policies and procedures in coordination with the System Director of Sterile Processing. It also oversees education and quality monitoring for the Sterile Processing Departments at BMH, LMC, Paoli, and Riddle Hospitals. The position serves as a leader, coach, mentor, and educator, collaborating with Main Line Health staff and leadership.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of overall sterile processing experience in an acute care setting, including decontamination, tray assembly, sterilization, case cart assembly, and storage of surgical instruments and supplies.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Manager, Lead, or Supervisor in Sterile Processing.
• High school diploma or GED.
• CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) or CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician) credential.
• CHL (Certified Healthcare Leadership) certification, required or to be obtained within 12 months of hire.
• CIS (Certified Instrument Specialist) certification, required or to be obtained within 12 months of hire.

• Oversee education and quality monitoring for the Sterile Processing Departments at BMH, LMC, Paoli, and Riddle Hospitals.
• Mentor future leaders and collaborate with team members through hospital and system-wide committees.
