About The Position

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree, or an Associate of Applied Science degree with equivalent hands-on work experience.
• At least 3 years of experience building, configuring, and troubleshooting switched and routed Ethernet networks in a lab, test, or production environment.
• Experience with switched and routed networks, including configuring Cisco switches and routers through CLI and scripting.
• Solid understanding of IP routing, BGP, OSPF, static routes, and core network services such as DHCP and DNS.
• Knowledge of network diagnostics, including packet analysis and monitoring tools.
• Ability to rack and stack network equipment, test instruments, and compute systems.
• Experience with programming languages for automation, such as Python, and automation test frameworks.
• Experience with agentic code generation and maintenance.

Nice To Haves

• Relevant certifications, such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with Ethernet test equipment, including traffic generators and analyzers, and industry test methodologies such as RFC 2544 and Y.1564.
• Experience using Atlassian project management tools, including Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Bamboo, and Git repositories.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for delivery of test automation.
• Experience with virtual server infrastructure, including VMware, OpenStack, or Proxmox.
• Experience with containerization, including Docker or Kubernetes, for scalable test infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain an R&D network lab infrastructure for product quality assurance testing.
• Build network test environments in coordination with application development and product management teams to emulate customer networks and support quality assurance processes.
• Write automation test code to verify network configurations and support quality assurance for product features.
• Assist software development teams with the design and diagnosis of network performance criteria for systems deployed and emulated in the lab.
• Support the full product development lifecycle, including system maintenance, expansion planning, and technology updates.
• Rack and stack network equipment, test instruments, and compute systems.
