About The Position
The Program Manager (PM) provides leadership, support, and resources so the base can deliver high-quality, customer-oriented patient care safely and efficiently. The PM supports patients and staff by following company standard operating procedures and protocols, and uses problem-solving, process-improvement, leadership, communication, and team-building skills. The PM leads the base team and oversees clinical crew management, customer relations, marketing, and financial planning. The role includes developing and monitoring budgets and business plans, supporting personnel hiring and performance management, ensuring compliance with company standards and CAMTS regulations, and representing the company in the base’s service area.
Requirements
- At least one year of management or supervisory experience.
- Ability to design, execute, and measure an effective business and marketing plan.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Must live within 70 miles of the base location.
- Must pass a drug test and background check in accordance with GMR policies.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a registered professional nurse, paramedic, or respiratory care practitioner.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge and experience.
Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for the integrity and team building of the base team, and provide leadership and guidance.
- Develop the annual base budget and pro forma.
- Maintain an indirect reporting relationship with the base leadership team, including the Lead Pilot and Base Mechanic.
- Directly manage the base clinical crew, including Flight Nurses, Flight Paramedics, and the Medical Crew Lead, on base-specific operational and service-delivery issues.
- Participate in hiring base operations personnel and provide guidance for annual performance evaluations and crew performance management.
- Apply disciplinary actions for clinical personnel according to established policies, and make recommendations concerning terminations.
- Ensure base crewmembers comply with company standards and CAMTS regulations.
- Map customers to understand their goals and required deliverables, and listen to customers to understand their experience, needs, and wants.
- Manage customer relations, including in-region business development, communication, and contract management.
- Oversee base marketing and public relations needs.
- Participate in preparing and executing annual base operating, patient transport, and capital budgets; conduct ongoing variance analysis and corrections.
- Develop appropriate, measurable financial plans.
- Participate in the local service area to market services to end users and increase appropriate use of company transport resources.
- Contribute as a management team member toward organizational goals.
- Represent the company at public and professional meetings in the base’s service area.
- Coordinate and manage local leadership team meetings.
