The Production Supervisor will manage the shift operation of the facility, overseeing the production and packaging of finished goods. This role involves managing personnel, controlling labor costs, managing waste, and ensuring food safety. The supervisor will execute the production schedule to meet customer orders while maintaining quality and food safety standards. They will establish employee schedules, coordinate the work of production associates to achieve plant goals, and provide ongoing training, coaching, and supervision to both new and existing employees. Performance measurement systems will be utilized to provide feedback on productivity, cost, quality, food safety, and employee safety. The supervisor will hold employees accountable for attendance, job expectations, GMPs, productivity metrics, and SOP compliance. They will operate within the Production labor budget, reporting on direct labor, production efficiencies, quality, and safety. Additionally, the role includes managing equipment downtime, participating in pre-operation audits, ensuring deficiencies are addressed, maintaining safe working conditions, and collaborating with Human Resources on personnel and performance issues. Support for the food safety program, quality standards, and product legality is also a key responsibility, along with performing other job-related duties as assigned.
