About The Position

Requirements

• Customer service skills: Friendly and helpful attitude toward shoppers
• Basic produce knowledge: Ability to identify fruits and vegetables and assess freshness
• Attention to detail: Spotting spoiled items, proper labeling, and pricing
• Physical stamina: Ability to lift heavy boxes, stand for long periods, perform repetitive tasks and use a box cutter
• Organizational skills: Keeping displays neat and rotating stock properly

Responsibilities

• Overseeing daily operations of the produce section
• Ensuring a clean, well-stocked, and customer-friendly produce section
• Receiving, pricing, and merchandising fresh fruits and vegetables
• Maintaining high standards of quality, freshness, and presentation
• Managing inventory and coordinating shrink
• Ensuring compliance with food safety handling standards
• Supervising and training produce staff
• Assigning daily tasks to produce staff
• Addressing customer inquiries
• Building attractive displays
• Assisting in maintaining accurate sales and inventory records
