About The Position

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Previous administrative experience
• Proficient computer skills – Outlook, general Microsoft Office functionality, copy & paste function, ability to move in and out of applications with ease
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology
• Excellent organizational, multi-tasking and communication skills
• Skill in developing and maintaining effective relationships with medical and administrative staff, patients and the public.
• Must have adequate visual acuity to read, the ability to interpret and understand written material.
• Must have full range of body motion including manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
• Must be able to occasionally lift items weighing up to 50 pounds (specifically in the archiving process).

Responsibilities

• Process/examine all chart notes for completeness ensuring all required information is included; note any deficiencies and refer to appropriate area for follow-up.
• Send completed notes to referring providers in a timely manner.
• Collate, sort and identify a variety of medical information for scanning/queuing into EMR system
• Maintain/verify doctor’s dictation register daily to determine deficient chart notes manually and electronic, must be reported daily.
• Note any discrepancy in chart information and report to Supervisor (ex. Duplicate chart numbers/misfiles).
• All other duties as assigned.
