About The Position

Southeast Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center is hiring a full-time Central Supply Clerk in North Easton, Massachusetts. The role is responsible for ordering nursing and medical supplies in accordance with the facility budget and resident and patient needs. The clerk ensures adequate supply levels, collaborates with staff on purchasing, stocks supplies, and checks bills against packing slips for accuracy. On-the-job training is provided in scheduling and medical terminology.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least one year of clerical experience.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, basic computer skills, and mathematical ability.
• Ability to work harmoniously with other personnel.
• Ability to minimize supply waste and equipment misuse.
• Ability to seek out new methods and principles and incorporate them into existing practices.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm; willingness to handle residents and staff according to their current maturity levels.
• Proficiency in composing written communications.
• New hires must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless they receive an approved exemption, except where prohibited by state law.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adequate levels of nursing supplies are available for staff.
• Collaborate with staff on purchasing needed supplies.
• Meet staff, patient, and resident supply needs within budgetary parameters.
• Stock supplies.
• Compare bills against packing slips to verify charges are correct.
• Perform other duties assigned by the managerial team.
