About The Position

Requirements

• Minimum of one year of experience preferred
• Intermediate computer skills and experience with electronic health records
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
• Strong communication skills, critical thinking ability, and commitment to team-based care

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and assist Providers during visits
• Perform initial patient screenings, including vital signs and health history documentation
• Administer immunizations and perform venipuncture per protocol and Provider order
• Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health systems
• Clean and prepare exam rooms in accordance with OSHA and infection control standards
• Wash, package, and sterilize instruments; dispose of contaminated supplies properly
• Order and restock clinical supplies
• Process prescription refill requests and support prescription assistance programs
• Schedule diagnostic testing and obtain prior authorizations as needed
• Support quality improvement initiatives and promote NMHSI’s mission
• Assist with training new staff and mentoring MA students, as assigned
