About The Position

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Valid current Arizona nursing license or compact state license, with ability to become Arizona licensed within 30 days.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), or other certifications as required by the individual department.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to support well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
• Collect and analyze patient data through initial, reassessment, and focused assessments, considering physiological, psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors.
• Identify patient responses to actual or potential health conditions or needs using clinical judgment.
• Collaborate with patients and families to establish measurable short- and long-range goals and formulate plans of care.
• Establish daily goals with patients and families and support transition or discharge planning.
• Implement care according to the care plan, including ensuring patient safety, administering medications, providing ordered treatments and nursing care, educating patients and families, and documenting care.
• Continuously evaluate patient status and the effectiveness of nursing care, modifying the care plan as needed.
• Coordinate care with patients, families, and healthcare team members to manage the sequence, timing, and effectiveness of care from admission to discharge.
• Delegate, supervise, and prioritize care.
