About The Position

Requirements

• Current Medical Assistant license appropriate for the state in which the Business Unit is located and able to obtain licensure in other states, as required by state law or contract.
• Must have received the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for employment.
• Demonstrated ability to engage positively with patients and families and to work as a team with staff and providers.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum 6 months experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides care for the patient under the physician's direction.
• Prepares patients for exams.
• Assists during treatments.
• Coordinates tests and follow-up care.
• Records treatment in the medical record.
• Assists with explaining patient instructions to the patient/family.
• Demonstrates competency and skills to serve patients of all ages including neonate, infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.
• Performs other duties as necessary related to front office registration, laboratory testing, and radiology functions within a specialty setting.
• All Sharecare clinicians are required to participate in the orientation and to take the pre and post-tests to review competency during orientation.
• Yearly competency test is required for all Sharecare clinicians.
• Entering patient information in electronic medical records (EMR) system.
• Preparing and administering medications, including by intramuscular, intradermal, and subcutaneous injections—including vaccinations/immunizations, as directed by a physician or other licensed provider (e.g., a nurse practitioner or physician assistant).
• Perform variety of office responsibilities: answering phones, taking messages and assist triage.
