About The Position
The Maintenance Technician works at the Country Inn & Suites Virginia Beach Oceanfront, completing maintenance work to support guest satisfaction and hotel operations. The role includes responding promptly to work orders from all departments, inspecting hotel areas for problems and safety concerns, and performing preventative maintenance in guest rooms and public areas. The technician also performs electrical and plumbing tasks and handles chemicals in accordance with hotel requirements.
Requirements
- Good attitude and work ethic to ensure maximum guest satisfaction.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.
- Ability to exert physical effort in carrying out job duties.
- Understanding of building maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
Responsibilities
- Complete work orders from all departments promptly.
- Make rounds to check problem areas and document information needed or safety concerns in the hotel.
- Conduct preventative maintenance in guest rooms and public areas.
- Perform electrical and plumbing tasks.
- Handle chemicals according to hotel requirements.
