About The Position

The Lot Porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the lot and building, which directly impacts the dealership's presentation and operational flow. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a proactive approach to managing inventory on the lot. Ultimately, the Harley Lot Porter supports the dealership’s success by ensuring motorcycles are readily accessible, well-maintained, and presented in an orderly fashion.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with a motorcycle endorsement and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to safely operate motorcycles and/or dealership vehicles.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods.
  • Basic understanding of motorcycle handling and safety procedures.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working in a motorcycle dealership or automotive lot environment.
  • Familiarity with Harley-Davidson motorcycles and brand standards.
  • Certification in motorcycle operation or safety training.
  • Experience with inventory management or logistics.

Responsibilities

  • Safely move motorcycles around the lot to designated areas for sales, service, or delivery.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the motorcycle lot, including sweeping, washing, and general upkeep.
  • Inspect motorcycles for any visible damage or issues before moving or delivering them.
  • Assist with loading and unloading motorcycles from transport vehicles as needed.
  • Coordinate with sales and service teams to ensure motorcycles are positioned according to daily operational needs.
  • Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues observed on the lot to management promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and dealership policies while operating vehicles and equipment.
