About The Position

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred or Equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered
• Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive leadership experience
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in hospital maintenance/medical equipment operations management.
• Multiple site responsibility preferred.
• Must have experience with financial and operational management
• Strong experience in construction document reading (plans and specification)
• Working knowledge of codes, regulations and standards including but not limited to; Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), The Joint Commission (TJC), Det Norske Veritas (DNV), other national, state, and municipal regulatory requirements, policy and procedure development, and implementation.
• Five years in healthcare management, construction management, plant operations, or medical equipment management.
• Progressive management experience (may have served in lead position or acted in absence of management.)

Nice To Haves

• Vast experience with Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Systems and their integration with the healthcare environment.
• Certification as CHFM preferred or equivalent: Professional Designation, Licensure, certification i.e. (CHFM, CHC, PE).

Responsibilities

• Leading, guiding, and directing Trinity Health enterprise area functional responsibilities.
• Enabling enterprise level strategy to address internal or external business & regulatory issues.
• Providing functional expertise and ensuring fulfillment of performance and service standards.
• Managing and directing daily operations of a portfolio of 2+ sites.
• Ensuring consistent operating performance and achieving financial goals.
• Identifying, defining & solving complex problems that impact the management & direction of the business.
• Collaborating with SASS Area, Regions and Health Ministries to ensure consistency and integration of strategy and operations.
• Maintaining awareness of new industry developments and standards.
• Providing decision support, operations &/or optimization leadership focus.
• Providing advice, guidance, and leadership to RHM and Market Leaders in developing strategies and in the achievement of performance goals.
• Enabling Collaboration across and within SASS area, Regions, and Health Ministries to ensure consistency and integration of strategy and operations.
• Providing advice, guidance, and leadership to site functional leaders and site & RHM leadership.
• Establishing a national community of practice for knowledge and process mastery, standardization/systemness and optimization of standards, processes, methodologies, etc.
• Centralizing strategy and optimizing spend for Vendor/Contract Labor Management.
• Collaborating in system-wide strategy development and deployment of functional area priorities and initiatives.
• Supporting state and regional efforts to comply with functional area priorities.
• Accountable for the selection, evaluation, and overall success of the functional leadership teams within the region and market.
• Serving as the organization-wide focal point for establishing functional strategies and governance over financials and staffing.
• Acting as a communication liaison between operational leader and functional leaders.
• Reporting and Metrics measuring value delivery.
• Managing HRM responsibilities and ensuring a positive colleague experience.
• Maintaining a Working Knowledge of applicable federal, state & local laws / regulations, Trinity Health Integrity & Compliance Program & Code of Conduct, as well as other policies, procedures & guidelines.
• Ensuring annual compliance review (ACR), financial performance, recruitment, training & development.
• Developing communications/reporting and managing customer satisfaction within the Trinity Health Facilities & Construction program.
• Assuring current records of all maintenance procedures are kept as required to meet all applicable codes and standards.
• Maintaining Preventative Maintenance completion rate at or above program targets.
• Responsible for financial performance of areas managed by attaining all expense budgets and cost containment targets.
• Increasing GPO contract compliance and consolidating service contracts at the division level.
• Assuring continued accreditation, renewal of licenses, and adherence to rules and guidelines set forth by applicable regulatory agencies.
• Managing customer satisfaction surveys at least annually.
• Supporting and coordinating construction related activities with regional capital construction resources.
• Acting as the Safety Officer which leads the EOC compliance work, management plans.
• Acting with a sense of urgency on all matters regarding equipment maintenance or failures that may impact safety or ongoing facility operations.
